Art in Public Places

artist-blacksmith

central park lariat hand rail, forged steel
-located near the entrance of 97th and central park west-
commissioned by the central park conservancy and installed in 1995

-i love the way the rail references the branches and foliage-but that was probably the idea-
there are several works by garvey throughout nyc-a fun art trail project
also, the owner of sara said that one can wonder by garvey's forging studio which opens to the street on 128th and amsterdam

bbblurry images from me
-david and thayer came along for the walk through the park-
